The results of Uganda’s first Service Delivery Indicators surveys were released in Kampala on 19 November 2013.
Before implementation, there was an extensive consultation process involving key stakeholders in education and health, such as technical officers in ministries, civil society, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector. The Economic Policy and Research Center, a leading African think tank and partner on SDI implemented the surveys in Uganda.
Data collection took place between June and August 2013. The SDI is representative of Uganda’s four regions and Kampala, covering 400 primary schools and 400 health facilities, private and public, rural and urban.
